JEANNE DELEO CASHMAN was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. From the age of six, she knew she was an artist and her artwork has always been her biggest challenge and greatest reward. She graduated from the College of New Rochelle with a BFA and took advanced courses in painting, drawing and pottery at Hartwick College in Oneonta.
Jeanne has shown her paintings and drawings extensively and is the recipient of numerous awards in the Tri-State area. Her artwork was exhibited at the Design Center in Boston and throughout the Denver and New York area. Jeanne began as a traditional artist and to this day has not used projectors or airbrushes in her works.
As a photorealistic oil painter, Jeanne was rarely without a paintbrush in her hand. In the 1990’s, Jeanne put her paintbrush down and picked up a mouse instead. At Eastview Media Group in White Plains, she innovated as a pixel painter. Using Fractal Design, Painter 4, Jeanne utilized her oil painting skills to complete digital paintings, clicking every pixel on a digital canvas for photorealistic results. Since she never uses a scanner and starts with a blank canvas, Jeanne feels she is still as much a true painter as she has always been. Finishing with clean hands and no brushes to clean is also a real plus in her eyes. As a graphic freelance artist, she has painted graphic art and created animations for several websites including rainbowsbridge.com.
An avid runner for over twenty years, Jeanne ran the Warwick Marathon in ‘94, and the NYC Marathon in ‘95 and ‘96 and did the Jersey Shore Marathon in April of ‘99 in 4:09, a personal record and most recently did the Jersey Shore Marathon in April of 2000 in 4:21. She lives in White Plains with her husband Rick and three sons, Bryan, Gregory and Dylan.
